Job Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality concrete to meet production standards and specifications.
  • Perform pre- and post-batching inspections of conveyors and mixers.
  • Batch concrete using batching software, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor concrete quality through visual inspections and batch reporting analysis.
  • Manage on-site inventory of raw materials, ensuring timely procurement and proper storage.
  • Communicate effectively with the Production Foreman and Quality Control (QC) staff regarding daily targets and expectations.
  • Ensure mixers and conveyors are emptied after batching operations.
  • Maintain open communication with management as required.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of batch plants.
  • Operate loaders occasionally, as needed.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and follow mix designs with precision.
  • Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to production schedules.
  • Participate in daily/weekly Production and Scheduling Meetings.
  • Complete Field Level Risk Assessments prior to each task to ensure safety compliance.

Education:

  • High School Diploma is preferred

Experience:

  • Precast concrete experience is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in batching and mixing operations is preferred.

Competencies:

  • Safety-oriented mindset.
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a fast-paced, high-production environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
