Accounting Specialist

Wage: $55,000 to $75,000

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Since 1972, Fritz-Alder Precast has produced and installed precast concrete products, leading the way through innovation. Fritz-Alder Precast is growing again and looking for a professional and dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team.

What You Will Do:

Based in our Chepstow, Ontario, manufacturing facility, and reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Specialist will support a variety of accounting and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end processes, including reconciliations, monthly schedules and costing reports
• Prepare monthly journal entries as required
• Assist with preparation and reconciliations for tax filings
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data across systems
• Assist with full-cycle accounts payable
• Maintain an accurate and organized filing system
• Responsible for day-to-day clerical duties
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills (written/verbal) and ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff
• Previous experience in an accounting role is preferred
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proficient in data entry
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of Jonas is an asset
