In collaboration with team members within various departments, this role demands effective communication, adept time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills to generate precise schedules for the installation of our precast products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system.

  • Monitor design, production, and installation timelines. The incumbent will be responsible for the production component.

  • Manage production timelines; monitor design and installation timelines

  • Collect task information from each department to build full project schedules and coordinate with all departments to ensure all project tasks remain accurate.

  • Notify sales team members of potential gaps in production-area-specific capacity plans.

  • Notify engineering of lead time requirements for tickets.

  • Notify procurement team of schedule requirements for long-lead materials and hardware.

  • Monitor production timelines and deadlines, and inform team members if slippages impact others.

  • Evaluate performance and prepare production progress reports.

  • Revise and modify production schedules as required.

  • Recommend actions to ensure projects adhere to the original timeline and deadline.

  • Document project scheduling processes and maintain detailed and accurate records.

  • Optimize completion time and plan resources to work as efficiently as possible.

  • Examine schedules and reports daily to identify issues, bottlenecks and current statuses, then formulate action plans to address and resolve any identified problems.

  • Maintain accurate daily work status reports and communicate regularly with sales and engineering, project managers, plant managers, superintendents, and field personnel.

  • Review construction plans and schedules, analyze project requirements, and determine timelines.

  • Work with project managers, site superintendents, and others to supervise and coordinate the outlined schedule, and report planned vs. actual performance.

  • Communicate with contract, construction, and operations personnel.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role/industry OR 3+ years of experience in schedule planning and management

  • Proficient in oral and written communication.

  • Ability to track and analyze schedules.

  • Strong organization and time-management skills.

  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and Project or other project scheduling software.

  • Experience with Plant Control an asset (not required, training will be provided)

  • Knowledge in Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Construction a strong asset

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, or a related field.

  • Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) will be advantageous.

  • In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the industry.

  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes.
