Trent University – Long-Term Care

Fritz-Alder Precast is proud to help bring this one-of-a-kind project to life in Peterborough. This new 224-bed long-term care home by peopleCare Communities is being constructed on Trent University land, the first in Canada to be located on a university campus. This innovative project will connect seniors, students, researchers and the community in an environment that blends care, learning and connection. Slated for completion in 2027, it will create over 200 local jobs and set a new standard for aging and care in Canada. Built with ICF walls by Alder Concrete Group and precast Hollowcore floors, the structure will be energy-efficient, quiet, and built to last, creating a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff alike.
