About Us: Since 1972, Fritz-Alder Precast has been producing and installing precast concrete products, leading the way through innovation. Fritz-Alder is growing again and seeking a full-time skilled and reliable Rigger to join our team.

 

Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have experience in rigging operations, with a keen eye for safety and efficiency. This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and demands physical agility and strength. The Rigger will be responsible for ensuring the safe loading and unloading of materials, as well as spotting machines during operations.

 

Responsibilities:

• Safely hook up Hollowcore and other precast products using chains and hooks.
• Offload and load materials onto trucks.
• Spot machines as they maneuver in the yard to ensure safety and efficiency.Ensure that all products are securely fastened and safely transported.
• Adapt rigging techniques as necessary for each load's unique requirements.
• Handle chains and other rigging equipment as needed during operations.
• Assist the Yard Forman in planning ahead for rigging needs.
• Ability to use a tape measure to ensure accurate measurements and balanced loads.
• Update inventory, providing daily or yard-wide updates.
• Maintain awareness of the location of all materials and products on-site.
• Provide updates on the condition of materials as they are loaded onto transportation vehicles.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, thinking quickly and problem-solving as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in rigging operations is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts with possible overtime.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and maneuvering heavy materials.
