Working with clients and team members, the estimating position requires someone with strong communication, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills to produce accurate and timely estimates, quotations and proposals for the production and installation of our precast products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings for precast and cast-in-place concrete systems, including foundations, walls, slabs, and structural components.
• Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine full project scope.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in project documents with architects, engineers, and consultants
• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates, quotations, and proposals.
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop preliminary construction schedules and sequencing considerations.
• Maintain current material pricing and cost databases.
• Prepare and price change orders.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and internal bid reviews.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project and client information.
  

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Construction or Architectural Technology Diploma, or related field, from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2+ years of direct, full-time estimating experience specifically in both precast concrete and cast-in-place concrete construction (mandatory).
• Proven experience estimating complex multi-residential, commercial, industrial, and/or long-term care projects (mandatory).
• Demonstrated ability to independently interpret and analyze structural and architectural drawings and specifications.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is required to effectively communicate with suppliers
• Strong knowledge of structural concrete systems, construction methods, and sequencing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and BlueBeam.
• Working knowledge of Adobe, Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Valid G driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders concurrently and meet strict deadlines.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
  
• Candidates must have practical, job-based experience estimating both precast and cast-in-place concrete scopes.
• Experience must include involvement in projects of significant scale and complexity, including but not limited to multi-residential, commercial, industrial, or long-term care developments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced estimating environment is required.
